Paragonix is a free tool for splitting bills. Take a photo of a receipt, the AI reads every line item off it, and you share one link with your group — everyone claims what they ordered and immediately sees what they owe.
Splitting a bill at the table always plays out the same way: someone does sums on their phone, someone rounds up "close enough", and someone forgets to pay it back. The problem was never that the arithmetic is hard — it's that nobody wants to be the person doing it. Paragonix moves that job onto the phone and shows everyone the same numbers, so there's nothing left to argue about.
Your photo is processed on our side first — deskewing, cropping and compression — and very long receipts are split into sections. The prepared image then goes to a vision-capable language model, which returns the line items, prices, currency and store name as structured data. Models get things wrong, so every response is validated on our side: prices are computed with decimal arithmetic, totals have to reconcile, and you can correct anything by hand before splitting.
The full detail — including our processors and your GDPR rights — is in the privacy policy.
Paragonix is ad-supported. Scanning a receipt costs us real money (every photo is a call to an AI model), so ads cover the server and AI bills. That means we don't have to charge people who just want to split a bill now and then. Paid features may arrive later, but core bill splitting stays free.
